City just another game for old boss Aloisi

  • City just another game for old boss Aloisi

Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi will have close to a full squad to pick from when he faces his old employers, Melbourne City, for the first time.

But Friday night's clash at Suncorp Stadium holds no extra sentiment for the former Socceroos legend, who was unceremoniously sacked by the former Melbourne Heart following an A-League record winless streak.

The Roar, currently top of the table, will be favourites to beat City and should regain the services of skipper Matt McKay, who played 90 minutes for the Socceroos this week as well as striker Jamie Maclaren, who continued his hot form with a goal for the Olyroos against Iran's under-23s.

Aloisi added Thomas Broich and Daniel Bowles would be fit to play despite suffering minor injuries in Sunday's slender win over Perth Glory.
