Aloisi fires up at Roar defenders

Brisbane Roar's defenders have been delivered a harsh reality check by assistant coach Ross Aloisi at a fiery training session on Tuesday morning.

Days after the team's 3-2 loss to Wellington Phoenix, an unrepentant Aloisi gave both barrels to the Roar's defensive group, which is yet to keep a clean sheet three rounds into the A-League season.

Veteran fullback Shane Stefanutto, who is back to full fitness and in contention for Saturday night's clash with Adelaide United, said it was a welcome verbal barrage.

"It was just a bit of honesty in terms of our defending," Stefanutto said.

"We're extremely pleased we scored two goals away from home but we conceded three, unfortunately.

"We're men. We don't take it personally. We want that feedback as well so we can rectify those issues."
