The Brisbane Roar will enter their third grand final after defeating a gallant Melbourne Victory 1-0 yesterday. A Beshart Berisha goal was the difference between the sides however Melbourne fans will think that they were harshly dealt with after Mark Milligans penalty cries went unrewarded.
The Roar will feel as if they should of finished off the Victory well before the late drama with a number of players squandering great chances to put the result beyond doubt. Melbourne held their lines well and even after Berisha put the Roar in front they demonstrated they could create enough chances to get a result.
The Victory did a great job of shutting Broich down, making him ineffective for the whole 90minutes and Mark Milligan was by far the best player on the park. For the Roar Jade North and Luke Brattan were standouts and coach Mulvey will be stressing the importance of playing 90minutes against a Wanderers team who will be hoping to overide their agonising grand final defeat only 12 months ago.
