Brisbane opened up a ten point gap at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over Adelaide United on Sunday. The result unlike previous matches between the two sides, was never in doubt with the Roar dominating from start to finish.

It was that man Berisha again who caused havoc around the Adelaide penalty area netting both goals for the Roar and taking his tally to five goals scored against Adelaide this season.

A late consolation to Adelaide United ruined Brisbane’s clean sheet but the damage was already done by the Roars’ midfield who were very strong throughout the whole 90 minutes.

Brisbane has a short turnaround before heading to Sydney to play Sydney FC on Friday night, an important match for the Roar to consolidate their position at the top.
